If you have a pain around the elbow, it is often in the muscles just below the joint. Tennis elbow and golfers elbow are the most common types of elbow pain. Tennis elbow pain is on the outside and golfers elbow pain is on the inside of the elbow. You do not need to play tennis or golf to get these pains.
